About Us

How We Got Here

Founded in 2011 by certified forester and wildlife biologist David McCallister, Shiloh Creek Forestry and Wildlife, LLC began as a two-person operation working out of a truck bed in rural Georgia. McCallister saw that small and mid-sized landowners were often overlooked by large timber firms, receiving little guidance on sustainable harvests or habitat improvement. Starting with a single 200-acre timber stand assessment, the company grew through word-of-mouth referrals and a reputation for honest, science-based recommendations. Today, Shiloh Creek manages over 45,000 acres across three states, employing a dedicated team of foresters, ecologists, and GIS specialists.

What We Do

We deliver a full spectrum of natural resource services including timber inventory and appraisal, prescribed burning, invasive species control, and forest road design. Our team also specializes in wildlife habitat management plans for species such as white-tailed deer, wild turkey, and northern bobwhite quail, combining silviculture with ecological objectives. For clients pursuing conservation easements or carbon credit programs, we provide baseline documentation and long-term monitoring. Additionally, we offer stream buffer restoration and wetland delineation services for compliance with state and federal regulations.

Why Choose Us

With over 14 years of on-the-ground experience, our team of 12 professionals holds multiple certifications from the Society of American Foresters and The Wildlife Society. We maintain a 95% client retention rate by delivering detailed management plans that balance timber revenue with long-term forest health. Unlike larger firms, we limit our client load to ensure each landowner receives site-specific attention, from initial walk-through to final harvest oversight. Our extensive network of local loggers, tree planters, and equipment contractors allows us to execute projects efficiently across varied terrain.

Our team of 12 includes four licensed foresters, two wildlife biologists, a GIS analyst, and a certified prescribed burn manager, each averaging over a decade of field experience. We foster a culture of continuous learning, requiring annual training in the latest silvicultural techniques, drone-based mapping, and environmental regulations.
